Symptoms

A bad cold is often mistaken for sinusitis (sinus disease). Because many of the symptoms are the same, it is hard to distinguish between the two.  Common symptoms for both the cold and sinusitis include:

  • Headache or facial pain
  • Runny nose and nasal congestion

Unlike a cold, sinus disease symptoms may be caused by bacterial infections. Antibiotics are often required to fight the infection.

If you think you have sinus disease, the staff at Chattanooga Allergy Clinic can provide the proper diagnosis. In most cases, treating sinus disease is easy.
